Terms of Service

1. 18+ Eligibility Requirement

To register an account or use PinPals, you must be at least eighteen (18) years old. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18+ and have the legal capacity to accept these terms.

2. Account Creation and Security

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when setting up your account and profile. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

3. User Content and Media

PinPals allows users to upload or share profile photos, gallery photos, swing videos, course clips, scorecards, messages, open games, tee time proposals, and other content. You keep ownership of content you submit, but you grant PinPals a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display, stream, transmit, resize, crop, transcode, moderate, and distribute that content as needed to operate and improve the service.

You are responsible for the content you upload. Do not upload media or messages that you do not have the right to share, that reveal another person without appropriate permission, or that violate course rules, privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, trademarks, or other laws.

4. Public Features and Shared Links

PinPals is built around social discovery. Your public profile, gallery media, open games, status indicators, playing preferences, and shared scorecards may be visible to other users depending on your settings and feature choices.

Scorecard links can be shared outside the app. Anyone with a shared scorecard link may be able to view the scorecard until it is deleted, restricted, or otherwise made unavailable.

5. Prohibited Content and Conduct

You may not use PinPals to post, upload, transmit, or promote content or behavior that is illegal, threatening, abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, defamatory, deceptive, spammy, unsafe, invasive of privacy, or infringing. You also may not scrape the service, interfere with security, impersonate another person, or use PinPals to coordinate harmful activity.

We may remove content, restrict visibility, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, or preserve information when we believe it is necessary to protect users, enforce these terms, respond to reports, or comply with law.

6. Open Games, Matches, and Offline Meetups

PinPals offers matchmaking tools to connect golfers based on location, playing style, handicap, course preferences, and schedule compatibility. When you post an open game, accept an invitation, or meet another user in person, you are responsible for your own decisions and safety.

User Responsibility Warning: PinPals does not perform criminal background checks, verify every user claim, or control what happens offline. Use caution when sharing personal information or coordinating in-person rounds.

7. Scorecards and Golf Information

Scorecards, stats, handicaps, and round summaries are provided for social and recreational use. You agree to enter scores in good faith. PinPals may manage, restrict, delete, or correct scorecard data when needed to prevent abuse, fix technical issues, or enforce these terms.

8. Third-Party Services

PinPals relies on third-party services, including Supabase for database hosting, authentication, and storage, plus Apple TestFlight and Android testing services for beta distribution. Those providers may process information according to their own terms and policies.

9. Copyright and Takedown Requests

If you believe content on PinPals infringes your rights, contact us with enough detail to identify the content and your claim. Copyright and media takedown requests can be sent to support@pinpalsgolf.com.

10. Availability, Changes, and Termination

PinPals is provided on an as-available basis, especially while in beta. We may modify, pause, or discontinue features, update these terms, or suspend or terminate access if we believe an account has violated these terms or created risk for the community.
