Privacy Policy

• Account: name, username, email, authentication provider, and account identifiers.
• Golfer profile: photos, biography, age, handicap, skill, playing style, availability, preferences, favorite or home courses, and privacy settings.
• Activity and content: games, invitations, matches, messages, comments, reports, blocks, photos, videos, Gallery clips, scorecards, Round Cards, likes, saves, reviews, and support requests.

With permission, the app may use precise or approximate device location to find nearby golfers, courses, and games. You may instead provide a manual city, address, or ZIP code. Distance visibility is controlled through privacy settings.

On the public website, we may use an IP-derived approximate region to make local content useful without requesting precise browser location. IP-derived location is approximate and is not published as your profile location. We also process device type, operating system, app version, language, network information, push token, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs.

• Operate authentication, profiles, discovery, messaging, games, course tools, scorecards, media, support, and notifications.
• Rank or filter relevant golfers, courses, games, and content.
• Create, stream, share, moderate, and remove user media according to feature choices.
• Prevent abuse, investigate reports, protect accounts, troubleshoot failures, measure reliability, and comply with law.
• Communicate about requests, safety, policy updates, account changes, and support.

We do not sell personal information and do not use private messages for third-party advertising.

Depending on your choices, public or member-visible information can include golfer profile fields, approximate distance, online status, Gallery media, open games, reviews, and shared scorecards. Anyone with an active public share link may view its content.

Private messages are limited to authorized participants and service providers, but may be reviewed when reasonably necessary for support, safety, abuse prevention, security, or legal compliance.

We use service providers for cloud database, authentication, storage, hosting, content delivery, video processing, maps, weather, email, push notifications, and moderation. These providers process data for us under their own security and privacy obligations. Current infrastructure includes Supabase and Vercel; Apple services support maps, weather, sign-in, notifications, beta distribution, and app delivery.

PinPals is free in this release and does not collect payment-card information.

We process information to provide the service you request, maintain legitimate safety and operational interests, obtain consent where required, and meet legal obligations. We keep information while your account is active and as reasonably needed for the purposes above. Retention varies by data type.

After deletion, active profile and content records are removed or de-identified, subject to technical processing time. Limited data may remain in backups, security logs, fraud records, transaction records, report evidence, or legal holds where reasonably necessary or legally required.

• Edit your golfer profile and preferences.
• Control distance, online, and last-active visibility.
• Change or deny location, photo, camera, and notification permissions in device settings.
• Delete eligible posts, comments, videos, scorecards, and other content through available controls.
• Block users and report accounts, media, comments, or conduct.
• Delete your full account from Profile → Settings → Delete Account.

If you cannot access the app, email support@pinpalsgolf.com from the account email. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of information, or object to certain processing.

We use access controls, row-level authorization, encryption in transit, service separation, and operational safeguards. No system is perfectly secure. Data may be processed where PinPals and its providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.

We may update this policy as features or laws change. We will post the effective date and provide additional notice for material changes when appropriate. Review Your Privacy Choices, or contact support@pinpalsgolf.com for deletion, security, or takedown requests. See also our Support Center.
