1. Strict Age Requirement (18+)

PinPals Golf is intended only for individuals who are eighteen (18) years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, you are not authorized to use our website, iPhone app, web portal, or services.

2. Information We Collect

a. Account and Profile Information

When you register, we collect account credentials and profile details you provide, such as your name, username, email address, profile photos, age, handicap, skill level, playing style, preferred tee times, home courses, playing frequency, and profile bio.

b. Location and Distance Information

To recommend nearby golfers, local courses, open games, and local media, PinPals may process location data. You can allow device location access or set a manual location. Distance, online status, and last active indicators are displayed according to your privacy settings.

c. Photos, Videos, and Gallery Media

We store profile photos and any gallery media you upload, including swing clips, course videos, thumbnails, captions, timestamps, storage paths, and related metadata needed to host, display, stream, or remove that media.

d. Scorecards and Shared Rounds

We collect scorecard information linked to your account, including course name, tee time, hole count, players, strokes, pars, yardage, round status, and any shareable scorecard links you generate.

e. Messages, Invites, and App Activity

We store and process direct messages, group chats, round proposals, open game requests, match history, blocks, reports, and activity signals such as last_active_at so the app can sync conversations and social features across devices.

3. How We Use Information

• Recommend compatible golfers, open games, and courses near you.
• Host, display, stream, moderate, and delete uploaded photos and videos.
• Power gallery feeds, profile media, scorecard history, and shared scorecard pages.
• Enable chats, match requests, tee time proposals, group rounds, and notifications.
• Maintain app security, prevent spam or abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve the service.

4. Visibility and Sharing

PinPals is a social platform. Depending on your settings and how you use the app, other users may see your public profile, photos, gallery videos, handicap or skill level, playing preferences, favorite courses, distance indicators, online status, open games, and shared scorecards.

Scorecards you share may be visible to anyone with the link. Media uploaded to a public gallery may be visible to other PinPals users, including golfers near you. Private messages are intended for the participants in those conversations, but they may be reviewed if needed to investigate abuse, safety, security, or support issues.

We do not sell personal information or use private messages for third-party advertising.

5. Data Storage and Security

PinPals uses Supabase for database hosting, authentication, and file storage. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect account data, messages, photos, videos, scorecards, and related metadata. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your information protected.

6. Your Controls and Deletion Requests

• Edit Profile: You can update profile details, golf preferences, photos, and location settings.
• Privacy Settings: You can manage whether other users see distance, online status, and last active details when those controls are available.
• Media and Scorecard Deletion: You can delete uploaded photos, gallery media, and scorecards where deletion controls are provided.
• Account Deletion: You can request permanent account deletion in app settings or by contacting support.

Deleted content is removed from active public surfaces, but limited copies may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or records we must retain for legal, safety, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.

7. Moderation, Reports, and Safety

You can block or report users where those tools are available. We may review reports, remove content, restrict media, suspend accounts, or preserve information when needed to enforce our rules, protect users, respond to support requests, or comply with legal obligations.
